Hello and Welcome to M0BPQ.com
This is not the kind if website that you find by accident, so I guess you have either an interest in ham radio or have wondered what my domain name is all about so typed it into google.
I am Steve, and in my spare time, I have an interest in Amateur Radio. M0BPQ is an amateur radio callsign specifically allocated to me by the UK radio licensing authority OFCOM. If you would like more about amateur radio in general, look at the Radio Society of Great Britain's webpages.
For those of you who know all about ham radio, please take a look at the tabs above that guide you around the basic website, giving you info on my various radio activities, many of which takes place on frequencies above 50MHz.
I also hold the callsign G5YC, which I use on HF only. Information on the history of G5YC is contained in its own webpage. If you have any information about G5YC please contact me and I will add your info to the site.
I was not on the air much in 2007 after moving house, but I got back on HF in the spring of 2008 and finally put some VHF antennas back up during the autumn of that year. I moved again in December 2013 and now most of my radio time is used helping maintain the station at GB2GP - Gilwell Park Scouts.
