Tokyo Hy-power Sagra 600

7/27/2010

I have recently been asked to take a look at a non working linear amplifier for 2m – a Tokyo Sagra 600. Being an optimist I spent quite some time on the web hoping to find a circuit diagram, but had no luck. It transpires that the amplifier’s owner did have a copy of the original manual he has finally passed this over to me.

I haven’t found the fault with the amp yet – it looks like it is in the control board which is in one of the least accessible places of the whole beast but in  the meantime I have scanned the manual and posted it here in case anyone else is looking for it online the future.

It was very considerate of you to post the Sagra Manual on to your site. I have been looking for one for the last six months. I have a Sagra myself. It is in 1st class condition. I have built and used many 250B/350F amplifiers in my time and I am an ex Engineer at Air Traffic Control. If you need any help or want to swap notes - then by all means get in touch with me. I will be only too pleased to help.

Best regards

John

Hey John
How about an ARG Reunion.
Sadly I am in Brisbane though for now, or not so sadly.

Did you ever hear from Pete While G8LBE ?
Regards
Ian

And I had one of your 4CX250B AMps.

I used it to excellent effect and I seem to remember it put a good signal into GB3LO from Upper Norwood.
Regards
Ian

Just found your post. Only 2.5 years too late.
I will just pop over in my private jet to see you.
Havn't got your address but that should not matter - not many people in Aus!

Hi Ian my email address is [email protected]
I am married these days and live on the Epsom Downs only a few hundred yards from where the original GB3LO was sited.
Times have changed a lot of things many old enemies are no
longer with us and also the same for some old friends.
A Re-union meet is on the cards though - I can get in touch with
most of them. Are you coming back to the UK permanently?
Best regards
